lyrics

Let’s have a word about a word. The word ‘word’. Or in this case, ‘logos’, as first heard.

If you get nerdy, learning with a scriptural disposition, you may have taken note on the scope of its definition.

Germans interpreted it as ‘verb’. So more than a title, it’s active.

The Word states it created the world. So we can deny that it’s passive.

“Intent”, “account”, “expectation” and “reason”. All solid translations, dependent on context framing its meaning.

Some scholars acknowledge the interpretation as ‘plan’. With that phrasing think back before the making of man. Before the foundation of creation. Before God spake forth the earth. Before the date was the 1st.

In the beginning

Verse 2

Back in the beginning. Well, the beginning of us.

When man was first made. Delivered from dust. Though all other creatures were created by God speaking a statement. Man, He hand-crafted in His image. A sameness.

That first man was Adam. Through him, humanity came.

His blood trapped in our veins. Blood that carries the blame of his actions - our shame.

The damage ingrained. That damage being death.

Hence, men are captured by graves until born through the last Adam, the image of the invisible God. Also known as the Christ, the Logos.

You might think of it odd, millennia prior to Messiah, God made man in this image.

Well, He had a plan in the beginning.
